Seems like a nice day today. Heading for breakfast at 7am

After breakfast, we took a nice stroll around the resort, taking some photos...since the photos taken the previous day turned out kinda gloomy due to all the clouds.
Viu Bar |
Oceanview rooms. We will be shifting over to 1 of these rooms for our last night at the resort. |
Walking back to our room |
After breakfast, it's time to go snorkelling!
Hubby snorkelling in the water in front of our water villa. |
Since I can't really swim, so I only tried to snorkel in the waters nearer to our villa's staircase, and for the rest of the morning, I just sat at the above spot on our deck and enjoyed the view. |
We bought a cheap 2nd hand compact camera for underwater use so that we can take photos/videos while snorkelling. :)
Ok, time to come up. It's gonna be lunch time soon. |
Not long before lunch, we were surprised to see rubbish floating about in the waters surrounding our water villa. We assumed that's probably due to the change in the direction of the tides, plus our resort is pretty near the industrial island at Male. This occurrence only lasted from some time before lunch time (about 11am+?) till after lunch (about 3pm?).
Out of our 5 days stay at the resort, this incident only happened once (just this particular day).
The resort staff tried their best to clear up the rubbish that drifted up on the sand as quickly as they could.
Lunch time.
Since our package is a half-board package, so only breakfast and dinner is included, and not lunch. Therefore, our lunch is chargeable.
Lunch for today, is Thai food. I love the Thai restaurant.
Since the restaurant is very popular (and small amount of seating), so you will have to make prior reservations if you want to eat here (as well as the Italian and Arabian food restaurants too).
For those with All-Inclusive package plans, this is the included set menu. |
a-la-carte selections. Prices are in USD. |
I had Chicken with cashew nuts (USD28). I loved this! |
The hubby had Red Curry (USD16). |
Our lunch bill. |
Snacks which we brought along with us to Maldives all the way from Singapore :) |
Not long after lunch, the waters started to clear up. So it's time for snorkelling again.
This time, we headed for the beach area that's near the resort's pool.
Water cleared up |
And then, we went back to the waters near our water villa.
Time to catch sunset again.
After washing up, it's time for dinner at 7pm.
Thai and Italian restaurants in the evening |
This is the Arabian cuisine restaurant |
We had our dinner at the Oceans restaurant (buffet restaurant).
Since there was a different theme for every dinner of the week, so tonight is French themed.
The desserts are so pretty.

Spaghetti and Pasta station |

Since this trip was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, so the resort sent us a bottle of champagne and a slice of cake. :)
Since the hubby was using the tripod, so I just put my camera facing directly up, and took the above shot just before heading back to our room for my e-book reading while the hubby continued playing with the camera and tripod for some night shots. |
