Japan (Sep 2012) Day 5: One Piece Grand Arena Tour 2012 at Sabae (Part 1)

Today's the main highlight of my trip. Reason why I decided to go on this trip is because I wanted to visit the One Piece Grand Arena Tour 2012 exhibition held at Sabae in Fukui.

Non One Piece fans can just go ahead and skip this day's entries since it's going to be filled with One Piece pics. :)

My 4 day JR Kansai Area Wide pass only covers my train journey up to Tsuruga station, therefore I had to top up for the journey between Tsuruga to Sabae station.

Arrived at Sabae station
Since it was about nearly 2km between Sabae station and the exhibition location, therefore I took a short 5mins cab ride.

The cab I took.

Finally!!!!

Toilet signs

A drawing of Luffy, drawn by Oda-sensei specially for this event

Selling strawhats for 2100yen (about S$32)

Audio guide rental, with the voice of Zoro and Sanji. Since I don't really understand much Japanese, therefore I chose not to rent it.

Classic scene between Luffy and Shanks.

Entering Grand Line

What? A Marine is the Strawhat's Nakama? (Anyway, that guy is a Akainu cosplayer)

That's me (in black) with a digitally drawn "X".  Feel so dumb after taking this pic... haha...

There will be one as well in Hiroshima and i feel like going. Did you buy an advance ticket? I wonder if I can just buy on day ticket but kind of worried that it might be sold out..

    1. I asked a Japanese friend to buy advanced ticket for me, and he mailed the ticket to Singapore for me.
But I saw ticketing booth outside the event hall on the day of the exhibition so I am assuming that you shouldn't have a problem getting a ticket at the event itself, but advanced tickets are slightly cheaper (by about 200yen if I remembered correctly).

My friend collected the ticket from 1 of the convenience chains (forgot if it's Lawson's or 7-11) but I not too sure how he purchased it though.
So you might want to check out either of those stores when you arrive at Japan to try your luck to see if you can get a ticket before the exhibition day.
