Took a morning train from Tsurumi (somewhere in Kawasaki, just south of Tokyo) to Sanrio Puroland in Tama City in the outskirts of Tokyo.
There are 2 Sanrio themeparks in Japan. Sanrio Puroland is the more popular one since it's near Tokyo and it is pretty small and is entirely indoor.
The other one is a much bigger and an outdoor themepark in Oita in Kyushu (southern Japan), which is known as Sanrio Harmonyland. Harmonyland is quite difficult to go to and you would need to do abit of research on trains and bus schedules to the park.
I have already been to Sanrio Harmonyland back in Feb 2012.
Arrival at Tama City. Even the map is pink!
Cute icons on the map. |
This cute pink map is located just outside of Keio and Odakyu Tama Center station. |
Walking towards Puroland. It's just a short 5mins walk from the train stations.
Cute shopping mall just outside Puroland. You should be able to see the main entrance to Puroland in this above pic. |
There! Puroland. |
Sanrio Puroland. People are already queueing while waiting for the park to be opened. It should be about 0955am when I took this pic. The park opens at 10am on the day of my visit. |
