We woke up early on this day to soak in the hotspring tub at our room's balcony before heading to the dining area (where we had our dinner the previous evening) for our breakfast.
Our breakfast at the hotel
Bye bye to our hotel at Gero onsen.
Our hotel provides us with a van shuttle (very short ride, about 3 mins I think) to bring us from the hotel to Gero train station.
Locker area at Gero station.
Since we still had a little time to spare before having to catch our train, so we went to a souvenir shop opposite Gero station.
The buildings just across from Gero station. There are a few cafes and souvenir shops.
Hida Beef flavoured Potato snacks.
I bought 1 of these little pouches. Kinda expensive, but it looked so cute. The one which I bought had a pink lining on the inside. :)
More lockers at Gero station.
Manhole cover at Gero onsen
Bye bye Gero onsen.
Next up, our train ride from Gero to Nagoya on the Ltd Exp train.
It was close to noon time when we arrived at Nagoya.
There are quite a few places with lockers at Nagoya station.
However, we went to nearly ALL of the locker areas at Nagoya station and wasn't able to find any empty locker spots for our large sized luggage bags.
In the end, we went to the tourist info counter at Nagoya station, and the nice lady there advised us to go to another locker area at the basement near to the dept store, and that's where we finally found available spots for our luggage bags.
hello Kamenashi (from the group KAT-TUN) :)
After spending quite awhile to sort out our luggage storage issues, we were finally able to head out of Nagoya station and start our short exploration of Nagoya.
Our first stop, Alfred and my favourite king crab cuisine chain...Kani-honke!!
Everytime (and I do mean, EVERY TIME) the 2 of us come to Nagoya, we will always stop by Kani-honke for either lunch or dinner.
Kani-honke is actually originated from Sapporo in Hokkaido (where we've also eaten at that outlet many times too) and Nagoya is like one of the few other cities they have outlets at, outside of Hokkaido. They don't even have any outlets at Tokyo nor Osaka.
After lunch, we headed back towards Nagoya station.
The famous giant mannequin near Nagoya station.
We passed by a Samantha Vega boutique store along the way, and I fell in love with this limited edition My Melody bag (My Melody is my fav Sanrio character).
Thank you hubby for getting this bag for me. :)
And then, while heading upstairs to look for the tax-rebate office, we saw this One Piece store sign, and of course, we'd want to stop by the One Piece shop too.
Next up, we went to Osu-Kannon area.
There's the Osu Kannon temple, as well as shopping streets with some budget shops too.

Check out this small entrance.
This shop sells 300yen stuffs
And then, we came across a Seria store. Seria is a 100yen store, kinda like Daiso. I think we spent more than 1hr in here, buying loads of different items.
To be honest, I personally prefer the selections at Seria over Daiso.
This particular traffic light confused me a little.
Came across another 100yen store, but this is a smaller sized shop than compared to the Seria store earlier.
We then decided to head back to Nagoya station to buy some food from the dept store basement's food hall to eat on the train for dinner, and collected our luggage bags, and then took a Shinkansen to Shizuoka.
