Anime/Cute places in Japan

Since I'm into anime (One Piece) and cute character products (Sylvanian Families/Miffy), so I'm compiling a list here for my own reference and also hopefully it will help other fellow anime fans out there who are planning for their Japan trip.

If anyone came across any info/links to other relevant locations in Japan which I've not listed here, pls leave a comment and I will try to update this list.

*Bear in mind that I will not be updating this page too often, so some places which I've listed here might be no longer available by the time you make your trip there. So please check its availability when you are planning your trip.

  1. Hi Sam love your blog and interesting entries of Japan, esp the fun things and cute places in Japan segment. I have 2 tweens (under 13 yos) and a little one under 2yo and would like to play and eat in Japan in October. Basically a trip to keep the kids happy. Definitely keen to do things like Naruto, jump shop, sanrio. Total of +-10 days and Hokkaido (eat fresh seafood). Are you able to advise an itinerary ?

    1. Probably something like:
Day 1: Arrival at Sapporo. Stay at Sapporo.
Day 2: Daytrip to Otaru. Stay at Sapporo.
Day 3: Sapporo. Stay at Sapporo
Day 4: Sapporo to Noboribetsu. Stay at Noboribetsu.
Day 5: Noboribetsu to New Chitose Airport, fly to Tokyo. Stay at Tokyo.
Day 6: Visit Disneyland or Disneysea. Stay at Tokyo
Day 7: Visit Nissin Cup Noodle museum at Yokohama in the morning, then go Chinatown for lunch, then go Tokyo station's Character street in the evening where there's many shops selling character products (Jump store, rilakkuma, hello kitty, miffy...etc). Stay at Tokyo
Day 8: If you want to see Mt Fuji, make a daytrip to Kawaguchiko. Or if you want to try the Classic round course, try going Hakone instead of Kawaguchiko. Stay at Tokyo.
Day 9: Visit Kawagoe + Omiya Railway museum + either Shinjuku or Shibuya. Stay at Tokyo.
Day 10: If you have time before your flight, go visit Sensoji Shrine in the morning.
