Japan (Feb 2012) Day 13: Huis Ten Bosch (Part 1)

Japan (Feb 2012) Day 13: Huis Ten Bosch (Part 1)
On this day, we took a train (Ltd Exp Huis Ten Bosch) from Hakata station to Huis Ten Bosch station.
Huis Ten Bosch is a Holland-themed large Theme Park that is located in Nagasaki Prefecture.
We will be staying 1 night at ANA Huis Ten Bosch Hotel, which is located between Huis Ten Bosch station and Huis Ten Bosch themepark's entrance.

2 main reasons why we have been looking forward to this visit.
1) There's a Miffy shop in the park that I have been dreaming of.
2) There's the anime/manga One Piece's theme attractions in the themepark (which is not permanent) which is the main reason I was able to convince my hubby to go on this particular Japan trip. :)

One Piece fans, don't miss out my post for Day 14 where we took the cruise onboard Thousand Sunny. Yes, it's an actual ship that really sails. :)

The building is the hotel where we will be staying overnight at. It's just across the bridge from the station.

  1. Hi Samantha,

I would like to consult you if you happen to know the shuttle bus schedule for Huis Ten Bosch theme park. I have been looking up TripAdvisor and online for the timings but unfortunately was unable to find any. I am planning to stay a night in Watermark Hotel in June before heading over to Kurokawa Onsen via Hakata (by bus) the following day. As the distance is pretty far between the 2 places, my plan is to take the 10.20am train from JR Huis Ten Bosch station so as not to miss the bus in Hakata. However, I am not sure of the earliest time the shuttle bus service in Huis Ten Bosch will begin. Hence, I would like to find out from you if you happen to know the timings? Thank you and appreciate your advice. - WS

    1. Sorry, somehow my blog settings didn't send alerts of new comments to my email so I only just saw your comment.
Sorry, I don't know the timetable either, I walked over from Huis Ten Bosch train station across to Huis Ten Bosch themepark. It took us about 20mins of really fast walk (without luggage) to get from 1 end of Huis Ten Bosch to the other end of Huis Ten Bosch.

  2. Hi Samantha, no worries. Anyway thanks for replying. I believe 20 - 30min by foot should be sufficient for me to get to the train station in time. I will just have to leave early in this case. Cheers! - WS

    1. U will have to walk really quickly though. I remembered us half walking half running when we tried to get from 1 end of Huis Ten Bosch to the other end to try to make it in time for our timing for the One Piece ship cruise.
If you are carrying luggages, allow extra time for that.
